Work topics
- Atomic spectroscopy of medium and highly ionised noble gases in the UV-VIS-IR regions. Analysis of the spectra obtained within the framework of the regularities which are characteristic of the atomic structure such as isoelectronic sequences, isonuclear sequences and homologous sequences. Use of Hartree-Fock calculation programs and programs of diagonalization of energy matrices for the determination of energy levels, transition probabilities, mean life and other characteristic parameters.
- Temporal spectroscopy of plasmas originated by laser pulses (LIBS-OES). Determination of temperatures, electronic densities, self-absorption coefficients and characterization of plasma by perturbations at extreme electronic fields.
- Technological applications of optical spectroscopy. Analysis of radiation emitted by light sources.
